Congress spreading rumours: PRP candidate

Kakinada: Praja Rajyam party candidate for Kakinada City Assembly constituency, B Hari accused the Congress party of spreading a falsehood that he was working for the victory of a rival party.

He told media persons here on Saturday that he was recently indisposed and the Congress party utilised it as an opportunity to make baseless charges against him and appealed to the people not to believe this ‘misinformation campaign’.

‘Making things difficult’
The Congress party activists were making things difficult to PRP cadres as part of their attempts to defeat him.

PRP workers were being prevented from canvassing for their candidate and tents erected by them were removed but such tactics would not deter him from serving the people.

Mr. Hari said that he belongs to the fishermen community.

He held responsible positions like vice-president of Kakinada Barges’ Association and honorary president of New Dolphin Mechanised Fishing Boat Operators Welfare Association.

His contribution to the fisher folk’s welfare could be seen during that period but the Congress party deliberately resorted to mud-slinging to spoil his chances of victory.
