The Supreme Court has given the nod to Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party to make the ‘Rail Engine’ their common election symbol for the upcoming polls. On Friday, a Division Bench of the Supreme Court, comprising Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan and Justice P. Sathasivam, directed the Election Commission to allot a common poll symbol to PRP, Loksatta of Andhra Pradesh and to DMDK led by Vijaykanth in Tamil Nadu.
Chiranjeevi received the news while visiting a temple in East Godavari District. He said God has been great to him and now nothing can stop PRP from winning. About the rail engine symbol,he said “This will safely take everyone who boards to their destinations.”
It was first heard that Chiranjeevi in all probability will contest from Tirupati. But now sources suggest that he will file his nomination on April 3 to contest from Palakollu constituency in West Godavari district.
