Chiranjeevi himself is a symbol of victory

Hyderabad Dec 30 :Praja Rajyam party president Chiranjeevi arrived to New Delhi to request the Chief Election Commissioner to grant his party a common symbol to contest in the coming elections. After meeting the Election Commissioner, addressing the media Chiranjeevi said that, he has requested the commissioner to grant his party a common symbol for the coming elections.

Even if the election commission does not grant his party a common symbol, chiranjeevi said that, contestants still have fair chance of winning the elections with the Symbol- Chiru He is confident that his image is enough to give his party a landslide victory with a clean sweep in the elections. Chiranjeevi said that his party would win at least 225 seats in the coming elections.

Chiranjeevi seeks a common symbol for Praja Rajyam

New Delhi, Dec 29 (PTI) Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi today approached the Election Commission seeking a common symbol for his political party Praja Rajyam to contest the ensuing assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi along with former Union Minister P Shivshanker met Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy and made the request.

Praja Rajyam party has already been registered by the EC. He has already sent a petition to the EC requesting for a common symbol to enable it to fight the polls. EC sources said the commission would look into his request.

In true cinematic style, Chiranjeevi launched his party before a mammoth crowd of his fans and supporters in the temple town of Tirupati on August 26, creating a flutter in the Congress-ruled Andhra Pradesh. The entry of Chiranjeevi, who has acted in 148 films, into politics has generated a lot of interest as he is expected to alter the political equations in the state ahead of the elections.
