Balaiah blackmailing Naidu!

With every passing day, Nandamuri Balakrishna is making his intentions clear. He wants to be in active politics and get into a prime post.

On Tuesday, Balaiah said he would contest the elections, either for Lok Sabha or the State Assembly, compulsorily this time. He is already chalking out his plans to go into the people and feels the High Court's order lifting stay on road shows would come in handy for him.

He is understood to have asked TD president N Chandrababu Naidu to identify a seat for him for Lok Sabha and Assembly. What is more worrying for Naidu is that Balaiah also wants a sizeable number of seats to his followers in the Assembly elections. Which means, he has already started blackmailing his brother-in-law!

Police all set to trouble Balaiah

Yuvaratna Nandamuri Balakrishna is yet to go all out with his political plans, but the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government is ready with its plans to trouble him much before his grand beginning.

The government has instructed the police to re-open the case against Balakrishna with regard to killing of a security guard at his residence a couple of years ago. The police, who had closed the case for want of evidence then obviously under pressure from Balakrishna's sister and Union Minister Purandareshwari, filed a petition before the court seeking permission to reopen the case.

One does not know whether the police have got any concrete evidence to prove Balaiah guilty, but the case would sure embarrass the hero, at a time when he is going into people to campaign for Telugu Desam party.

The message is clear: don't trouble YSR or else, he will trouble you forever.

Praja Rajyam perceived flaws about Chandra Babu Naidu

by the criticism levelled by other parties that Praja Rajyam was founded and run by an actor, party spokespersons Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao and C. Ramachandraiah on Tuesday dared the Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu to launch a party of his own without people from the film industry.

At a press conference, the two PR leaders reminded Mr. Naidu that he had also joined a party founded by the late NTR, an actor himself. They wondered why the TDP chief was busy wooing the entire Nandamuri clan, including actors Balakrishna, Harikrishna, Taraka Rama Rao and others to rally behind him. Mr. Rao reminded the TDP president how as a Congressman he had proclaimed that he would contest against his father-in-law but took a ‘U’ turn and joined the TDP. They wondered why Mr. Naidu held actors in such ‘low esteem’, when he himself was wooing tinsel town personalities to campaign for the TDP.

Meanwhile, at an informal interaction with media, PR president K. Chiranjeevi dropped enough hints to suggest that the party was ‘open’ to alliances as also to welcoming leaders from other parties who were interested in joining the PR for its ‘social justice’ agenda.

Praja Rajyam criticises Naidu

Irked by the criticism levelled by other parties that Praja Rajyam was founded and run by an actor, party spokespersons Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao and C. Babu promises to reduce prices of LPG

One more freebie dropped from the Telugu Desam Party’s kitty. TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu today announced that the prices of cooking gas refills would be halved, if TDP is voted to power.

Addressing a huge meeting organised here as part of Jana Chaitanya Sabhalu, Naidu said alleged that the Congress, which promised to reduce the price of domestic gas cylinder by Rs 100, failed to keep up its promise. He said that he would reduce the gas cylinder rates by 50 per cent. He also assured that the poor women would get gas cylinders free of cost.

Referring to liquor menace, Naidu assured to close down all the belt shops in the State.

Alleging that the Congress Government became an enemy to the poor, farmers and Dalits, Chandrababu Naidu said that dwellers of Bhim Rao Bada were forcibly evicted by the officials.

Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy is more interested in pocketing the money rather than helping the poor, Naidu alleged.

Addressing a meeting in Vikarabad, Naidu assured that Vikarabad would be made headquarters for Rangareddy district. A large number of CPM workers too attended Naidu’s meetings.
