Chiru supports Pawan kalyans’s comments

Megastar Chiranjevi - Chief of P R P stated that in this Democracy everybody has right to express their opinion and the same is done by Pavan Kalyan as well. He spoke whatever was there in his heart openly, what statements was given by Pavan Kalyan is right according to him and he need not defend his statements. Chiranjeevi stated that attack on Congress party is nothing wrong, Pavan tried to disclose his opinion on the party. This is the Government that has given me shields for my services towards Blood and Eye Banks is now commenting on my personals is not tolerated by Pavan and he countered them with his opinion.

MLA triggers caste war in Coastal Ap

Caste has always played a vital role in the State politics and time and again various castes have determined the rulers. And as the elections are fast approaching and political parties are vying with each other to make their places secure, caste has once again emerged as the key player.

The long-drawn cold war between Kapus and Kammas in the coastal Andhra is set to flare up all over again with the entry of Vijayawada (East) MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna into the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) last week.

Radhakrishna’s entry into PRP came as booster for its president Chiranjeevi. For, it is expected to result in caste polarisation in coastal Andhra, particularly in Krishna and Guntur districts which would definitely benefit the PRP.

Radhakrishna, who belongs to Kapu community, has been virtually waging a war with Kamma leaders in Krishna district, though both the communities have been backing the Congress party. In fact, the Kapu-Kamma rivalry dates back to several decades and it reached a climax with the murder of Radhakrishna’s father Vangaveeti Ranga exactly two decades ago. Ranga was the most revered leader for Kapus and backward communities in the coastal Andhra and one can find his statues in several villages as mark of respect.

Ranga was in the Congress at the time of his murder and that obviously took a political colour since Kammas were the backbone of the Telugu Desam (TD) at that time. However, in the last one decade, political equations changed rapidly as Kammas have also started backing the Congress.

One of the prime accused in the murder case, Devineni Rajasekhar, who was in the TD, later joined the Congress. Prominent Kammas among others who entered the Congress include former Union minister P Upendra, Vijaywada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Daggubati couple.

Yet, the Kapu-Kamma rivalry continued in the coastal Andhra. While Kapus and their associated backward classes, which constitute nearly 25 per cent of the total population of the State, did not get political power, Kammas continued to dominate the politics in coastal Andhra irrespective of whether it was the TD or the Congress in power. Radha has been trying to counter this dominance of Kammas in the region, particularly Lagadapati and Devineni groups.

He started wooing Dalits and other weaker sections by offering them various facilities, participating in community dinners, spending nights in the residences of Dalits and taking bath in Dalit colonies.

Simultaneously, Radhakrishna never lost an opportunity to oppose the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government granting favours to Kamma leaders. He even threatened to resign from the Congress in protest against allotment of prime land to Deveneni Nehru at Banjara Hills. He also opposed allotment of Wakf lands to Lagadapati’s Lanco Hills in the city.

But with the government pampering Kammas in the region, Radhakrishna has started playing behind-the-screen role for Chiranjeevi’s PRP. Being a close associate of Chiranjeevi’s brother Pavan Kalyan, Radhakrishna has been funding their fan clubs for quite some time. He is said to be the brain behind Pavan Kalyan’s proposal for establishment of a "Common Man’s Protection Force." Now, he officially joined the PRP.

Analysts say Radhakrishna is going to bring about a major shift in Kapu and other BC voters in favour of the PRP. And he has already started his campaign. That would be a major blow not only to the Congress, but also to the TD, which is desperately seeking the support of BCs, apart from Kammas. So, it would be an interesting battle in the coming days

Ramoji-CBN’s hype drama

Was there a meaning in the way Eenadu stooped to cover Chiranjeevi’s PRP entry and it’s aftermath? Very soon you will find Chiru being allotted a single column news and later unraveling of facts, truth from district level committees onwards to anti-posts. Already for the past few days coverage on the ex actor had considerably reduced. Is this a strategy on part of Ramoji-CBN? An analyst explains, “All these years the Cong electorate comprised of SC, STs, Muslims, Kapus, Brahmins, Reddy’s. CBN’s  attitude towards the farmers made the traditional TDP supporters, a little percentage of them to cast their vote in favour of Congress. Now a third person comes from the kapu community. Eighty percent of the Kapus vote for the Congress as they have traditional rivalry with the Kammas. Kapu votes Cong nundi cheelcheste Cong ki loss.  All those Kapus who regularly vote for Cong will now vote for Chiru. Now that the job is done, the coverage for Chiranjeevi will be limited and slowly dwindle. Sensing this Chiranjeevi had already approached Vaartha chief the other day.”

Both the Dasari’s used Chiru?

Perplexing isn’t it? The talk is Dasari promised madam through YSR that he will keep away Chiru from politics. In return he got a ministership and plenty of autonomy over other things but the moment he couldn’t succeed in keeping up his word, he was removed. He still continues to be in the Cong hoping some day he would be accommodated, he has no choice either. He can never join PRP because both of them will not be able to handle massive ego clashes. The nature of being a politician brings with it a certain amount of necessary and inescapable deceit. Another young man who bears the same surname has more or less similar qualities like him is Dasari Kiran. I have published his interview earlier ‘chiru is my hero, jagan is my leader’ and many visitors didn’t want such stories to be published. The purpose is to give the readers a chance to understand their insight.

Now I make a small attempt to show how Dasari Kiran allegedly misused Chiru’s name, image to prosper to further his chances of becoming a politician. A source analyses the dramatic rise of this aspiring MLA on a Cong ticket, how he promised Jagan that he will convert Chiru fans’ votes into Cong support. Is Kiran still loyal to Chiru? Will Jagan keep him if he doesn’t get the votes?

It was the time when Baavagaru Bagunnara was being shot. Naga Babu was in Guntur. Kiran took around fifty vehicles leaving a trail of dust in a true cinematic style from tenali to Guntur. That was the time when none cared for Naga Babu. The fact that someone came for him alone, with such a following moved him. Konidela Simham Naga Babu ki jai slogans flattered him. He introduced the fans to NB and said annaiya veelu meeku peekalu kooda kosukune type. Very impressed he grant him a private audience and reached the conclusion that “ baaga katthi laaga unnadu (read as baaga pogidaadu), encourage cheste adbuthanga upayoga padthadu” and gave instructions to Fans Prez Swami Naidu to encourage him. DK on the other hand would take pictures of himself with the mega brothers and put them up in Guntur.

Sunkara Satish was the fans president for the past ten years in Guntur. DK ki aa post meedha kanu padindhi says my source from Guntur. To create trouble for him, DK organized rifts between the fans, worked against Sunkara Satish and prepared the ground for his elimination. Satish was the censor board member too. DK complained to NB about Satish, give me the post this time and see the difference, my work etc. NB as usual without taking anyone’s counsel told Swami Naidu to send a missive across the fans that DK henceforth is the president of the fans in Guntur.

After the appointment DK organized a big rally and through a mediator sent a message to Jagan as to how big a rally he can organize. That was the time Chiru didn’t even launch a party but DK had already started nursing political ambitions. He would go to Bangalore to Jagan with atleast 500 people minimum and tell him anna nenu chiru fans votes meeku maarustha. Latest one hears he wants to contest as MLA. Knowing this Naga Babu organized a meeting appadmokkulavadu when agitated fans told him that he put up huge cut outs and would have chiru’s tiny picture at his feet.DK not only spoke rashly but also raised his voice . The bad report, his allegiance to jagan, his fraud activities all became a reason for his ouster.

As a chiru fan, chiru e two topics praja rajyam manifesto lo petali ani korukuntunna

Prajarajyam Party ( Brings Change for Better...)

Today DG ACB A.P  released ACB raids statistics which reveals the quantum of assets  found in their raids  conducted in this year 2008 raised to 17 times when compared last four years!

Indira Gandhi told long back that corruption is global! In support of charges of corruption in her party (Indiramma Rajyam).

Kushwant Singh reported that Indian black money in Swiss bank range 68000 Crores US Dollars equal to 50 years of foreign currency reserves required for Switzerland!

In fact politicians of all parties are responsible for this menace, willingly or unwillingly we all became part and parcel of this vicious circle.

In the movie ‘MUTA MESTRI’ which sent signals in 1993 itself that Chiranjeevi will make political entry to root out corrupt politics, consolidated his determination with strong message on anti-corruption in his another movie ‘TAGORE’.

He said “ Avineethi parudu evaru iena kanapadithe market lo puchchu vankaya ni eri pari vesinatlu eri parestanu”.
He further questioned when Atma(villain) offered 20 lakhs as election fund “ Gelavadaniki dabbu kavala?” and added “ Votlu ammukone charitra marchadanike nenu politics loni ki digenu”.

But the most unfortunate thing and bitter fact unable to digest for fans like  us is our matinee idol is surrounded by the most notorious corrupt politicians and how Chiranjeevi  can wage war against corruption after election with such fellows as co  MLAs and MPs in PRP, will be a billion dollars’ question before us who are dreaming corrupt free society on the advent of PRP in our State.

One may ask them how to source funds practically to spend in Election which became festival of spending Crores for any party in the fray.

This  is exactly where Prajarajyam Party  was caught in wrong track by selecting political leaders capable of spending in elections causing despair to fans and Prajarajyam Party workers that Prajarajyam Party is none other than any existing political party and doubt the propriety of CHANGE in politics and afraid whether the Prajarajyam Party will also becomes a mirage for people searching “ Change for Better”

But it is possible to bring “Change we believe in” if Chiranjeevi bravely come out of the clutches of those playing money politics in Prajarajyam Party and call up on CFA to donate voluntarily their might as election fund to Prajarajyam Party.

Crores of rupees will be pooled for noble cause and he can transform the society with strong will of people than with the corrupt money of these political leaders who will invest only for returns which means again political corruption but not for free public service as wished by Chiranjeevi and his fans.

So, chiru please asks your FANS to come ” Inside Prajarajyam Party” to view your swearing ceremony as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh!

Pawan Kalyan Is Better Than Chiranjeevi

Pawan Kalyan proves better than Chiranjeevi in the matter of public meetings. He is using best of his voice and also histrionics. His clarity of thought and the degree of revolt against government are highly appreciated by people. He proves to be a right man to lead Yuva Rajyam, people say. In fact, his extremist outlook and diction are impressive and many say that he is better than Chiranjeevi is grabbing the image of a good politician and man of masses.

Although Pawan's CMPF brought negative image for him for not starting that and serving people as promised, his fresh speeches against government and pointing out the injustice done for poor people have come out with better impact.

Leaving the truth and false in his allegations, his conviction in speech is appreciated. He is now looking a bit plumper than before and impressive.

Jeevitha and Rajashekar comments on Chiranjeevi

It is the chain reaction of Pawan kalyan’s personalised comments on Congress party and its leaders. Dr.Rajashekar and his wife participating in a hot discussion conducted by a private TV channel, both of them heavily came down on PR president Chiranjeevi , and his younger brother Pawan kalyan.

Dr.Rajashekar asked whether Chiranjeevi is feeling himself as a god to give Darshan to the people? “ Chiranjeevi has no basic knowledge about the politics, but he is acting as a matured politician. First, he should avoid acting as a saviour of the people and learn how to serve the people. He should serve the people first for two or three years and then ask them for votes. What did he done for the people all these years, is nothing but running a blood bank on purely commercial basis?

He earned crores of rupees from his fans with his films, but spent nothing for them. He not even bothered for his fans, who came from far away places, just to have a shake hand with him. He is a man of selfishness. He proved it during his film career. He never entertained the industry people who sought his help in distress. How can a person like him expected of giving social justice? How can people rely on him?

Chiranjeevi , despite having large resources, did nothing for the poor and needy. His brother Pawan kalyan is yet another political joker, grandly announced about the voluntary organisation named, Common man Protection Force and signed Rs. One crore cheque in favour of it in the presence of media. But where are that force and the cheque? The cheque he took out from one of his pocket disappeared into his other pocket. This is the way they both serve the people if elected. People can understand their selfish nature and avoid vote for them. If the people vote them to power they have to suffer for five long years with out any scope or hope.”

KCR holds secret talks with PRP leaders

Despite having a direct understanding with Nava Telangana Party, the Praja Rajyam Party of Chiranjeevi has not lost hope on alliance with the TRS.

After seeing the response TRS got at the public meeting at Nizam College grounds on Monday, the PRP leaders stepped up their efforts to forge an alliance with TRS. On Tuesday, PRP leaders Allu Aravind and Nagababu had a secret talk with TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao at the residence of KCR’s relative Martanda Rao and discussed the seat sharing aspect thoroughly.

Though the outcome is not yet known, the meeting itself is significant, at a time when the TD-left combine is desperately trying to rope TRS into their camp. Now, KCR is in great demand. Let us see, whom would he prefer – Naidu or Chiru.

Congress leaders comments on Power Star Pavan kalyan

Minister Shabbir Ali called Pawan Kalyan a ‘loafer’. We all know that Pawan Kalyan has made a big hue and cry with his comments on the ruling Congress Party for demolishing the slums in Bheemrao Vada yesterday. As Pawan Kalyan called YSR and other Congress Ministers as ‘Desa Drohulu’ today Shabbir Ali responded to that saying that Pawan Kalyan is a loafer and it is a waste of time to talk about him. But since that was a Press Meet on that topic he said, “Pawan is a loafer. Whom he married and with whom he is sleeping? He has no right to talk anything about Congress or its leaders”.

He also added, “Pawan called madarsas as terrorist training institutes, He should say sorry for entire Muslim community. I am also filing a defamation suit on him”.

On the other hand, the Congress leaders wished to show their protest in Gandian way to Pawan Kalyan by giving flowers for PRP leaders. And PRP leaders are also ready to hug Congress groups in Gandian style. We have to see where it ends.

Pawan Kalyan Breaths Life Into PRP Cadre

No matter whether he was right or wrong; no matter whether his charges were right or wrong. Pawan Kalyan had breathed a new lease of life into the cadre of the Praja Rajyam Party, who has been getting diluted with the pale speeches of Chiranjeevi.

The enthusiasm of the pre-launching of PRP was diluted as Chiranjeevi started visiting the districts. He had failed to impress the people and ignite the cadre with his slow speeches that lacked punches.

It was felt that the PRP was losing its charm and the Congress leaders felt that the situation was turning favourable to the Telugu Desam. Actor Balakrishna has been delivering attracting statements to raise the morale of the cadre.

When the flow was very slow in PRP, Pawan Kalyan’s delivered punches electrifying the cadre across the State. The cadre is now talking about Pawan’s leadership qualities.

“Who cares to look into the fairness of the charges? Politics today need such statements to keep the cadre alive and active. That is what Pawan Kalyan had done,” said a PRP leader here.

Pawan Kalyan’s remarks have given a new meaning to the Gandhi giri of PRP. However, these remarks have come as a blessing in disguise for PRP with cadre pinning hopes on the young boss.

Dasari's Satires On Chiranjeevi

The film industry is one place where the best of relationships can go haywire in a jiffy and one example for that is the equation between the veteran Dasari Narayana Rao and megastar Chiranjeevi. It is said that they used to share a guru-sishya relationship at one point of time but things went soar with the passing of time.

Now, Dasari seems to be keen on pulling Chiru down at every given point and his fumes became stronger after Chiru has become the key opponent for the Congress party. Using the film medium as a tool, Dasari is said to be coming up with a film that might just be taking a dig at Chiru.

The film has been titled as 'Mestri' (maybe from Chiru's 'Mutha Mestri') and Dasari has already got Mohan Babu, Chiru's arch rival in it. Reports are coming in that Dasari has prepared a special satirical menu aimed at Chiru in the film and the shooting has been going on briskly. Let us see how Chiru would react to this one.

Balayya Putting Fire For Chiru Fans

Yuvaratna Balakrishna may have roared with his speech at the 'Yuvagarjana' meeting but then it must be kept in mind that such things are only once in a blue moon occurrences. It has often been said that Balayya tends to blurt out few unexpected things at the wrong time so something like that may have just happened.

Apparently, Balayya has been quite blatant about his stand for contesting for the Chief Minister position if given a chance and then also added that he would fight against his sister Purandareswari if the situation demands. Not stopping at that, he has now begun to pass few statements that are rubbing megastar Chiranjeevi's fans on the wrong side.

Incidentally, Chiru fans have been quite placid about the whole issue and they are said to be maintaining restraint due to orders from above. Everyone knows the nightmares actor Rajasekhar had to go for one wrong line of his. So one hopes that such things are put to rest and these prospective leaders focus on public welfare instead of hitting out at each other.

Apart from this, many say that Balakrishna has been talking irrelevant in his trademark style and not making any sense for public to turn their heads towards TDP.

Praja Rajyam hits back at Telugu Desam

HYDERABAD: The Praja Rajyam claims that Telugu Desam leaders were heckling it every stage as they were jittery about its growing popularity.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, senior PR leaders C. Ramachandraiah and Tammineni Sitaram took exception to the TDP’s allegation that their party had ditched the slogan of social justice and lacked clarity on the demand for separate Telangana as well as the government’s policy on Special Economic Zones.

They said the party was indeed committed to social justice and the same would be reflected in its election manifesto. On the other hand, it was the TDP that made a turnaround in its policies promising supply of rice free of cost, pensions and free power though it had ruled this out prior to 2004 elections.

Telangana issue

The PR was committed to separate Telangana and would welcome Statehood to the region. The TDP, however, lacked clarity on the Telangana issue as it strongly opposed the demand before 2004 and expressed support now. Moreover, it was trying to forge alliance with parties that had contradictory stands on separate Telangana. They also said the PR was not against industrial promotion but was opposed to acquisition of land in the name of SEZs.

PR can win majority on its own: Mitra

VIJAYAWADA: Praja Rajyam spokesperson P. Mitra on Sunday asserted that the party was in a position to get a comfortable majority on its own in the coming elections and there would be no need for alliances with any other party. He made it clear that there would be no truck with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at any point of time under any circumstances.

Replying to a question at a press conference here, Dr. Mitra said that the PR was not in the culture of blaming other political parties and that it would remain a secular and people-oriented one in letter and spirit.

“I don’t mean to comment on the BJP in this context. But all I can say is that our party will not have an alliance with that party in the next elections. We go to the polls with people’s support,” he said.

Dr. Mitra said there was an increased response to the public meetings of party president Chiranjevi even after ban on road shows by the High Court. “There is a groundswell of public support for the PR. People are voluntarily coming forward to take up responsibilities in the party. This affection will lead our party to victory,” he expressed confidence.

Dr. Mitra, who visited Guntur district earlier in the day, came here to hold a meeting with the active members of the party, so as to discuss various issues besides the aspect of constituting district and city committees. These committees would be announced in January and all care was being taken to avoid any misconceptions among the party enthusiasts and fans, he assured.

Congress, TDP join PR in Chandragiri

TIRUPATI: Leaders and activists of both TDP and Congress in Chandragiri constituency have joined Praja Rajyam in large numbers. The constituency is represented by Minister for Medical Education Galla Aruna as also, it is the home turf of TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu. PR leader Saikam Jayachandra Reddy, triggered the exodus by effectively playing the ‘social justice’ card, it is said.

Power Star Pavan v/s Shabbir ali : War of words heats up

image

It is the ongoing war of words between Energy Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Yuvarajyam leader Pavan Kalyan that the public is laughing off.

Pavan Kalyan on Tuesday came down heavily upon the Congress government and its leaders, terming them as robbers who looted the poor and deprived them of their livelihood, apparently inviting the wrath of senior Congress leaders in the State.  The actor-cum-politician even urged the public to “beat the Congress leaders black and blue” until they were undressed.

He even alleged that Ali Shabbir was an ‘ISI agent’.

Reacting sharply to Pavan Kalyan’s “loafer -like statements” , Ali Shabbir said the Congress leaders he was from a respectable family and was quite unfamiliar of the kind of cheap language that the actor used.

Speaking to the media from his office, Ali Shabbir accused Pavan Kalyan of marrying one woman and living with another.

Chiru admits PR glitches

Admitting that minor mistakes have taken place in appointing organisational committees, the PR chief, Chiranjeevi, said he will take steps to stick to his "social justice"agenda. On desertions from the party, he said, "Communication gap was the reason. We are a new party and some teething troubles will be there."

war between pawan kalyan @ shabbir ali

Andhra politics have reached boiling brim.
On 30 th jan Pavan Kalayan, Chiranjeevi's younger brother from PRP party has called Congress state leaders as criminals and betrayers .Reacting to his word artillery, state Congress minister Shabbir Ali has called Pavan Kalyan as loafer and has poked at Pavan's personal life. He questioned Pavan's credibility as youth leader saying that he married one , left her and started living with someone else.He called Pavan kalyan a rowdy. Shabbir Ali even went further and asked if pavan has not got lesson from the head shaving session by Paritaala Ravi and asked "When his head was shaved where his macho power, his pride went ?".

Reacting to all these remarks, Pavan has told that he is not gonna react to the personal remarks . He simply asked if he is speaking loafer langauge then what is the language used by the minister.

Later congress party workers have surrounded PRP party office in hyderabad to protest against the comments made by Pavan Kalyan, which was retailed by PRP workers.

Pavan kalyan has always been an emotional person and has huge fan base in Andhra. To some extent what minister has said is true but his personal remarks will belittle Congress party's dignity and in particular the minister's image.

PRP Chief Chiranjeevi to contest from Narsapur or Tirupathi - the big question

With elections approaching soon, the Praja Rajyam Party is gearing up for nominating it’s candidates and the task seems to be Herculean. The party top panel is in serious discussions on choosing the right candidates for specific constituencies.

Some of the internal discussion seem to be pointing at the possibility of Chiranjeevi contesting from Narsapur his original choice and home constituency and also from Tirupathi , if sources are to be believed he may contest from both the places.

Several names have also floated for other prominent constituencies and leaders from the party. Ex-IAS officers who are playing a key role in the party development; K.V.Rao and Thota Chandrashekar may be contesting from Ankapalli and Guntur respectively. B.C leader Vanki Penchalliah may contest from Nellore assembly, prominent party personality Dr. Vinay Kumar may contest from Sanathnagar, the Vijaywada constituency may be given to kesineni, Chiranjeevi’s brother nagubabu may contest from chodavaram Dr.Simhadri may contest from Avanigadda, Bhooma Nagi reddy may contest from Nandyala, Eluru may see Kotagiri Vidhya Dhar rao as the party candidate, all the while several other key constituencies and leaders are still to see some clear light on the nominations.

The party high command, and key planning committee seems to be working extra hard to ensure a all pleasing nomination and also with a focus on the parties ideology.

Praja Rajyam perceived flaws about Chandra Babu Naidu

by the criticism levelled by other parties that Praja Rajyam was founded and run by an actor, party spokespersons Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao and C. Ramachandraiah on Tuesday dared the Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu to launch a party of his own without people from the film industry.

At a press conference, the two PR leaders reminded Mr. Naidu that he had also joined a party founded by the late NTR, an actor himself. They wondered why the TDP chief was busy wooing the entire Nandamuri clan, including actors Balakrishna, Harikrishna, Taraka Rama Rao and others to rally behind him. Mr. Rao reminded the TDP president how as a Congressman he had proclaimed that he would contest against his father-in-law but took a ‘U’ turn and joined the TDP. They wondered why Mr. Naidu held actors in such ‘low esteem’, when he himself was wooing tinsel town personalities to campaign for the TDP.

Meanwhile, at an informal interaction with media, PR president K. Chiranjeevi dropped enough hints to suggest that the party was ‘open’ to alliances as also to welcoming leaders from other parties who were interested in joining the PR for its ‘social justice’ agenda.

Praja Rajyam criticises Naidu

Irked by the criticism levelled by other parties that Praja Rajyam was founded and run by an actor, party spokespersons Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao and C.

Ban on road shows not necessary

A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court comprising Chief Justice A.R. Dave and Justice R. Subhash Reddy on Tuesday made it clear that its earlier interim orders prohibiting road shows were not necessary as the Director General of Police’s guidelines were now in place.

This means relief to political parties from the ban orders on road shows imposed by the court subject to the police norms. The Bench also observed that the political parties were free to challenge the validity of these guidelines. The court was hearing various miscellaneous petitions seeking ban on road shows and petitions filed by the political parties seeking the vacation of the interim orders.

The Bench heard the counsel in detail on Monday afternoon and delivered the orders on Tuesday.

In a brief four-page order, the Bench dealt at length the need for protection of citizens and balancing it with political activity. The Bench reminded that the freedom of a citizen comes to an end when it interferes with the rights of other citizens. The public streets, which are to be maintained by the State, are to be used by all the citizens and care should be taken not to cause undue hardship to the citizens.

The Bench felt that the guidelines issued by the DGP covered the field now. It may be recalled that a voluntary organisation, Abhipray, filed a writ petition seeking a direction to the authorities not to allow the road shows by the political parties in the State.

The Bench through an interim order on November 25, restrained nine political parties from conducting the road shows. The parties which were arrayed as respondents were Congress, Telugu Desam Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Telangana Rashtra Samiti, CPI, CPI (M), Majlis, Nava Telangana Party and Praja Rajyam.

Babu promises to reduce prices of LPG

One more freebie dropped from the Telugu Desam Party’s kitty. TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu today announced that the prices of cooking gas refills would be halved, if TDP is voted to power.

Addressing a huge meeting organised here as part of Jana Chaitanya Sabhalu, Naidu said alleged that the Congress, which promised to reduce the price of domestic gas cylinder by Rs 100, failed to keep up its promise. He said that he would reduce the gas cylinder rates by 50 per cent. He also assured that the poor women would get gas cylinders free of cost.

Referring to liquor menace, Naidu assured to close down all the belt shops in the State.

Alleging that the Congress Government became an enemy to the poor, farmers and Dalits, Chandrababu Naidu said that dwellers of Bhim Rao Bada were forcibly evicted by the officials.

Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy is more interested in pocketing the money rather than helping the poor, Naidu alleged.

Addressing a meeting in Vikarabad, Naidu assured that Vikarabad would be made headquarters for Rangareddy district. A large number of CPM workers too attended Naidu’s meetings.

Pawan Kalyan serious Attack on Congress

Congress To Go With Vijayashanti

The Telangana votes more or less seem to be a deciding factor in the coming assembly elections. Anybody who wins gets a substantial number of seats here is likely to be the next CM it is believed.

Based on the present scenario the TRS and the communists have a hold in these areas apart from the Congress. The TDP has already made its alliance with the commies and they are comfortably sailing. The TRS would be sailing with the PRP as per present situation.

That leaves the congress without an ally in Telangana and that is what is making them go towards the Talli Telangana party headed by Vijayasanti. The congress hopes to garner women votes by this alliance and Vijayasanti hopes she will garner some mileage with Cong-Support. Politics and films indeed make strange bed fellows.

Pawan Kalyan Warning @ Nampally, Bheemraobada, Hyderabad

praja rajyam

Chiru’s snub shatters BJP’s Andhra dreams

The BJP’s hopes of seeking a bigger toehold in southern state of Andhra Pradesh received a big jolt here on Monday when the fledgling
Praja Rajyam, the political party floated by popular film star Chiranjeevi, ruled out the possibility of joining hands with it.

“We’re ready to form an alliance with all secular parties,’’ Mr Chiranjeevi told newspersons after his meeting with chief election commissioner N Gopalaswami here on Monday in connection with his party’s request for an election symbol.

“Praja Rajyam is a secular party, while the BJP is not, and there could not be any truck with it,’’ he said. He, at the same time, hastened to add that a final decision on the subject was yet to be taken.

The Praja Rajyam founder’s remarks are certain to come as a big blow to the BJP’s hopes of zeroing down on an alliance partner in the state in an attempt to seek a larger space for itself. Its dalliance with the TDP came to an abrupt end after the 2004 general election, which saw the Congress-led alliance coming out on top in the state.

While the BJP, which contested the Lok Sabha as well as the assembly election in the state in alliance with the TDP, drew a blank in the parliamentary election and had to rest content with only one seat in the assembly, the TDP too faced a rout.

Since then, the BJP has been forced to plough a lonely furrow in a state which sends as many as 42 MPs to the Lok Sabha. Its attempts to look for prospective political friends in the state have drawn a blank so far. While the TDP has joined hands with the Left, the TRS, which, like the BJP, too is fighting for a separate Telangana, has not evinced any interest in mending fences with the saffron outfit.

Veteran film actor and Praja Rajyam founder Chiranjeevi had raised hopes on this count by declaring initially that he did not rule out the possibility of a tie-up with the BJP. His remarks had raised hopes in the saffron camp that its attempts to find an alliance partner in Andhra Pradesh would end on a positive note.

With Mr Chiranjeevi doing an about-turn on the issue, rejecting the possibility of stitching a pre-poll alliance with the BJP, the latter is now faced with the dreadful prospect of being rendered absolutely friendless in Andhra Pradesh.
Finding suitable partners in Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Tamil Nadu, which between them account for 81 Lok Sabha seats, is crucial in the BJP top brass’ scheme of things. The party has minimal presence in these two states. Hence, locating political friends becomes a necessity.

YSR announces more sops for Self-Help Groups

Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy announced more? sops to the Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

Addressing the SHG members of the north Telangana districts at Ambedkar stadium here today, he said that Arogya Sri programmes would be extended to the differently-abled persons.

Stating that interest-free loans would be advanced to children of the SHG members going abroad for pursuing higher studies, the Chief Minister said that the Pavala Vaddi Scheme was of great help to women.

He said that every SHG member should save Re 1 daily for Rs 365 days and the Government would contribute Rs 365 as its share for pension benefits of the SHG members. He said the SHGs were serving as a bridge between the government and people in implementing the various welfare schemes.

Rajasekhara Reddy said that unlike the previous Telugu Desam regime where only party workers benefited from the government schemes, the Congress government ensured that everyone irrespective of their party benefited from the schemes.

Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Minister for Rural Development G Chinna Reddy detailed about the welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government. They said that even countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh were evincing interest in the welfare schemes being implemented by the State and Central Governments.

Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone for Rajiv Swagruha Housing Scheme (model satellite township with 107 towers), drinking water scheme for Thimmapur mandal (Rs 14 crore), inaugurated rural police station building and Karimnagar fruit market at Nustlapur village of Thimmapur mandal.

He also unveiled the statue of Prof GV Sudhakar Rao at LMD reservoir and inaugurated Rajiv Gruhakalpa complex on the outskirts of Karimnagar.

LATHICHARGE: Police resorted to mild lathicharge at Nustlapur when TDP workers tried to obstruct the convoy of the Chief Minister.

Two TDP workers–Adil Mallesh and Chandramouli suffered injuries in the baton charge.

District incharge minister Sabita Indra Reddy, District Ministers T Jeevan Reddy and J Ratnakar Rao, APSRTC Chairman M Satyanarayana Rao and District Collector Sandeep Kumar Sultania were among those present.

Meanwhile, police took into custody several Opposition party leaders and workers in the district since last night for the smooth conduct of the Chief Minister’s programme. The leaders had threatened to disrupt the Chief Minister’s programme. The arrested included TDP district president L Ramana and CPI Floor leader in the Assembly Chada Venkat Reddy.

Work & Food for All – PRP motto for Manifesto – to be out during Sankranthi

The Praja Rajyam Party leadership seems to be quite busy, the party leadership has reportedly suggested that the party Manifesto would be out after or during the festive time of Sankranthi.

Reportedly senior party leaders and members are working on the manifesto with top priority and as is known the motto of the party is “Work and Food for All”.

It is understood that Praja Rajyam Party would continue the current welfare programs, and also emphasize on making sure these programs benefit the people they were intended for and not corrupt officials and politicians.

Special committees have been formulated by PRP to complete a draft of the Manifesto by 31st of the month and then a special team would sit together discuss and further refine the Manifesto, finally the Manifesto will be prepared and ready for public disclosure by early January that is around the Sankranthi time.

Act to Check Violence Sought Demands PRP Women Wing

Demanding prevention of atrocities on women, delivering immediate justice to the victims and suitable compensation to them, the Prajarrajyam Party’s women wing today staged a dharna at Indira park here today.

The dharna was organised as part of the party programme to sensitise the women about atrocities on them in the wake of acid attack on two girls in Warangal recently.

The women rent the air with slogans and demanded that women should be provided with adequate security and immediate action on part of the Government.

Addressing the dharna party leader and Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagendra Babu said that women had to be more assertive and alert. Had the Government acted in time on the murders of Ayesha, Sri Laxmi the latest incident would not have taken place, he remarked.

Speaking on the occasion party leader Shobha Nagi Reddy pointed out that the colleges were not inculcating moral values in the students and they were concentrating only on money and ranks.

“Our party would fight for the cause of women whether they vote to us or not. Our party would not use this issue to gain political mileage,’’ she declared.

Former MP Vanga Geeta wanted a separate Act on the lines of SC Atrocities Prevention Act in place to check the violence against women and said that the culprits should not be granted bail till the case is disposed.

Sarojini, mother of Pratyusha, film artiste, who was murdered few years ago demanded that there should be a permanent mechanism to protect women.

Party ideologue Kathi Padma Rao said that the Left Parties were brazenly allying with the TDP, which muffled the Pratyusha case.

Chiranjeevi In Crowd And Off Crowd

They say that actors always live dual lives, one is for the fans and the other is for those who are around them. There are very few original individuals who tend to be themselves be it anyone. However, the person in focus today is megastar Chiranjeevi and these are few facts from those who know him.

Apparently, it is said that when Chiru is in the presence of a crowd, he is the most warm, affectionate and approachable person. Given his gestures and the initiative he takes in reaching out to people, one would be really floored by his human touch. That is the Chiru most of them would know as a personality.

However, there are those who have been with him when he is not in a crowd and they say that Chiru is a complete contrast. It is said that Chiru is quite grim and has a sort of touch me not approach. So having seen him outside and inside, it does come across as a bit of shocker. Those who have been trying to contact him to join PRP are said to be having some blank expressions given his reactions. Strange but true…

Chiranjeevi himself is a symbol of victory

Hyderabad Dec 30 :Praja Rajyam party president Chiranjeevi arrived to New Delhi to request the Chief Election Commissioner to grant his party a common symbol to contest in the coming elections. After meeting the Election Commissioner, addressing the media Chiranjeevi said that, he has requested the commissioner to grant his party a common symbol for the coming elections.

Even if the election commission does not grant his party a common symbol, chiranjeevi said that, contestants still have fair chance of winning the elections with the Symbol- Chiru He is confident that his image is enough to give his party a landslide victory with a clean sweep in the elections. Chiranjeevi said that his party would win at least 225 seats in the coming elections.

Chiranjeevi seeks a common symbol for Praja Rajyam

New Delhi, Dec 29 (PTI) Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi today approached the Election Commission seeking a common symbol for his political party Praja Rajyam to contest the ensuing assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi along with former Union Minister P Shivshanker met Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy and made the request.

Praja Rajyam party has already been registered by the EC. He has already sent a petition to the EC requesting for a common symbol to enable it to fight the polls. EC sources said the commission would look into his request.

In true cinematic style, Chiranjeevi launched his party before a mammoth crowd of his fans and supporters in the temple town of Tirupati on August 26, creating a flutter in the Congress-ruled Andhra Pradesh. The entry of Chiranjeevi, who has acted in 148 films, into politics has generated a lot of interest as he is expected to alter the political equations in the state ahead of the elections.

Chiru flays CM for giving clean chit to ministers

Objecting to the Chief Minister giving a clean chit to the ministers and MLAs alleged to be involved in the multi-crore scam by the Fisheries Department executive engineer Suryanarayana, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) chief Chiranjeevi alleged that the Congress had no faith in the judiciary and they themselves were conducting inquiries into the various scandals and giving clean chits to the accused.

Speaking at various meetings organised as part of Praja Ankita Sabhas in Medak district today, the PRP chief alleged that corruption was rampant under the Congress regime.

Even in the DPEP scandal, they exonerated a person close to the Chief Minister and gave promotions, he alleged.

Citing the example of Lalbahadur Sastry, who had resigned owing moral responsibility for a train accident, Chiranjeevi opined that the present leaders had no moral values.

mouse out of a lion? Mohan Babu Ignored

Mohan Babu will reconsider his decision to go along with Congress after this incident.
The incident goes like this- It was the marriage of a marriage of a senior congressman's daughter. The invitee list was not only long but also illustrious. The leaders of the Congress party and also of the opposition were also invited. Among the list were the Chief Minister YSR, Chiranjeevi and also Mohan Babu. All the guests who were invited met the couple and went on to have dinner. But that was not the case with Mohan Babu. He had to wait till YSR arrived and only then was given a formal introduction to the couple. Mohan Babu had to wait in the sidelines till the boss (YSR) arrived.
What a fate to an actor who would chart his own course and lived like a king all these years. Has the alliance with Congress made a mouse out of a lion?

Pawan Kalyan was arrested by the Nampally police

In the Nampally area in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan was arrested on the charge for creating a blockade. The popular actor and member of Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party, is also the president of the youth wing Yuva Rajyam.

The state government of AP in a measure to eradicate the rising slum areas in Bheemrao Vada, near Nampally, organized a team to dislodge the dwellers. In order to bring the decision to vogue, the slums were disbursed forcibly by the government officials today.

Protesting against the dislodgement, Pawan Kalyan accompanied by a group of young members from PRP reached the spot to support the people of Bheemrao Vada.

He stated that this government says they are for the poor but actually works against the poor. We will not rest until we replace it with effective governance. He then consoled the local people and extended his support to them.

Pawan Kalyan was arrested by the Nampally police for making a blockade during their dislodgement.

Yuvagarjana of Nandamuri Heroes

This article is to make PRP fans aware of the moves of PRP opposers.

TDP ’s gameplan

TDP was upset by the great response to Chiranjeevi and his PRP from public. It also noticed that many of its leaders are leaving TDP to join PRP. Naidu confabulated with Nadamuri clan leveraging his new relationship with  Balakrishna after his son marrying Balakrishna’s daughter. The result is a massive convention called Yuvagarjana on Nov 5 at Guntur.

Yuvagarjana

- Balakrishna decided that the convention will start only after 4:30 pm on Nov 5. Naidu does not believe is superstitions but has agreed to the suggestion

- 20 special trains will run to the venue and Naidu has made payments

- Special teams of visitors led by prominent leaders will start on Nov 4. Special passes will be given to these teams

- 15000 two wheelers are supposed to come. Parking facilities are being arranged

- MP and sister of Balakrishna Purandheshwari did not say anything other than ALL THE BEST when questioned about Balakrishna’s entry into Politics

- Nadidu and Nandamuri fans are expected to come to Gannavaram by plane and to the venue by helicopter

- A big rally of motor cycles is expected to come from Vizag.

TDP and Nandamuri clan is trying to match the initial Tirupati convention of Chiru. The absence of Junior NTR has thrown some fans out of gear

Status of Hyderabad after separation of Telengana ?

What shall be the status of Hyderabad after separation of Telengana is dwelling in the minds of every body whether they speak out or not. But surely it is a matter of great concern of our people of Andhra Pradesh in general and those who were born, living, settled in Hyderabad city.

While there is nothing wrong to bifurcate Telugu speaking people in to two or three states like many Hindi speaking in North India, the question is what shall be the fate of Greater Hyderabad, which is now 5th Maha Nagar in India and the people depending on it for livelihood and those who have acquired lawfull properties in it.

Though the Political parties did not prefer to open mouth on this sensitive matter, every body speaks on Separation. Let us speak and share our opinions.

There are 3 options before us

1) Hyderabad along with Telangana and and a large funding for separate Capital for Andhra ?

2) Common Capital for both Telangana and Andhra like chandigarh ?

3) Separate State Hood/Union Territory for Greater Hyderabad exclusively ?

Which one you support..? What are implications ? How you will justify ?

come on,share our thoughts

Can we see Obama in Chiranjeevi?

The most important of all the lessons, we can learn from the US election how important it is to build grassroots organization for achieving electoral success. This is the single most important factor for the success of Obama.

We do have thousands of people who are willing to spend their time and energy for the party. Channelizing this raw , directionless energy towards the goal will be crucial for our success.  If not properly used , it might be counter productive.

PRP has to build an effective ground-level organization . A massive , convincing organization with a dedicated people to take the message of change to every nook and corner of the state. These ground-level organizations in every village, town and cities  should help to  motivate people to register and vote. This organization can also be used to eventually to carry on policies of PRP in some limited form. If this building of  situation has not started yet , it should happen now. Time is running out.

Our Chiru has to show his organizational/ leadership skills in building such an network. Our opposition too is run by seasoned pros with well established grassroots organization but only chiru has the legions of troops , fired up and ready to go. Organization matters.
I hope the powers that may be at the PRP , will be studying the organization model in the Obama campaign and adapt it to our situation. The other really interesting leader who build such organizations is Mahatir Mohammed, the former PM of Malaysia.

Andhra Obama !

Surely,Chiru will emerge as Obama in Andhra

for CHANGE in Politics,

for CHANGE in Governance,

for CHANGE in Society.

Chiranjeevi shall emphatecaly say these 3 slogans after his speech and obtain echo from public at the end of every meeting.

PRP shall leave no stone unturned to carry forward this  magic mantra in to the minds of masses, for land side victory to Prajarajyam.Apart from the urgent need of forming organisation commitees, the PRP shall focus Chiranjeevi as Andhra Obama for achieving CHANGE in our Society.

Close posters of chiru and Obama with CHANGE slogan, resemblences of polices etc shall be spread in to the nook and corners.

Party flag shall be more publicised thro various means like T-shirts,sarees,caps,bags etc.

PRP songs and speeches of Chiranjeevi shall be distibuted broadly.

Chiru fans should vountarily organise these things immediately since committees forming delayed.

PRP also shall not waste time any more since count down for election is already started.

Chiranjeevi Charisma intact and Evergreen!

It is observed PRP chief Chiranjeevi Charisma remain intact and appeared evergreen in Nalgonda/Medak Districts Praja Ankita  Sabhalu organized in the place of road shows banned by Court.

About a month long ‘de-contact’ with masses, the PRP suffered depression and even doubts have risen whether popularity of Chiranjeevi and PRP is diminishing among people.TDP and Congress taken the developments in to grant that episode of PRP is over and there is straight fight between Congress and TDP lead coalitions only.

Rousing welcome to Chiranjeevi and roaring response to his speeches, again shattered the myth of anti-prp forces and again started putting hurdles to the PRP meetings also on the plea of time schedules as experienced in the last  night meeting at Nalgonda .All  these hurdles shall increase the determination of PRP chief which were not new in his film career. They make him sharper and more committed.

Even month long public holiday for Chiranjeevi from moving in masses need not be counted as time-waste since utilized otherwise for organizational issues like committee formations etc..But PRP shall invariable remember that the time being very short  for elections Chiranjeevi mass contact meetings should not be halted at any cost. PRP should realize that as long as  Chiranjeevi move in masses the prospectus of party are kept bright, since his charisma is evergreen!

Regarding the way Chiranjeevi addresses the masses is now improed more appealing and his hit-backs of opponent parties receiving applaud from crowds. He needs to still sharpen his dialogues with more punch everwhere as delivered in Kodada meeting.

Recent developments like ACB raids on Fisheries executive engineer involving many top brasses in government is mirror to corruption in ruling party and government.

“In front there is crocodile’s festival” is good dialogue but there is another powerful dialogue to say “ vulture eating  100 buffalos -one cyclone finish “.

He should inspire by saying the people verdict in coming election( cyclone) will collapse all corrupt parties and politicians.(vultures).

Raboye ennikalalu tufanu ga mari chalamandi praja rabandulanu kulchi vestundi.

Aa tufanu mere!

Adi mee votarula theerpe  kavali!!

Praja dhanam nu rabondulaga peekkuni tintunna rajakeeyanayakulaku  mee teerpu penu tupanu ga marali !!!.

We foresee bright future for PRP, nothing to worry nor despair! Chiranjeevi do not look back, go ahead.Success is yours and also ours, the masses who dream for change thro you only you!!!

Govt works against the power star Pawan Kalyan

In the Nampally area beside gandhi bhavan in Hyderabad, Yuva Rajyam State President Power star Pawan Kalyan was arrested on the charge for creating a blockade.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh in a measure to eradicate the rising slum areas in Bheemrao Vada, near Gandhi bhavan, organized a team to dislodge the dwellers. In order to bring the decision to vogue, the slums were disbursed forcibly by the government officials early hours of the saturday.

Protesting against the dislodgement, power star Pawan Kalyan accompanied by a group of yuva Prajarajyam members from PRP reached the spot to support the victims of Bheemrao Vada.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan stated that this “Government says they are for the poor but actually works against the poor.” We will not rest until we replace it with effective governance. He then consoled the local people and extended his support to them.

Pawan Kalyan was arrested by the Nampally police for making a blockade during their dislodgement.

Praja Ankita Sabha a Grand Success

The public meetings of Chiranjeevi are well attended in RangaReddi and Hyderabad dists are well attended.

Chiranjeevi said he is over whelmed by the love shown by the people and he will return this love by serving the poor. He said that it would have been a great mistake had he not entered politics. He would have missed a chance to contribute to the public service. He said that the ring road which is like VADRANAM of the city is mired in controversies as the govt had several times changed the alignment to protect the lands of powerful politicians. He also said the govt has dusted age old restrictions on road shows and meeting end time of 10 pm as he was getting excellent response form the public

Chiranjeevi Launched Political Party Praja rajyam

Chiranjeevi Launches Political Party Prajarajyam (People's Rule, People's Governance)

After a long wait, South Indian Movie Actor and Telugu Movie Hero Chiranjeevi is all set to launch his Political party. This step has already created some worries in the two leading political parties in Andhra Pradesh State - TDP and Congress.

Chiranjeevi has named his political party - Prajarajyam - in a massive meeting held in Temple town Tirupati.

Chiranjeevi is carefully planning his initial steps in politics and his team has launched a website about everything that the actors organization, party, office does. He has named this website as punadirallu, which means stepping stone or foundation stone.

The site address of this website is http://punadirallu.org/. Apparently Chiranjeevi's first movie as actor also is by this name.

Traditionally most south Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh have an inclination towards selecting movie actors as their political representatives and after the death of NTR there has been a vacuum that got created. Chiranjeevi step into AP politics is going to change the existing scenario. He already is creating waves across the state and lot of youth are joining OR are showing interest in joining his party.

Chiranjeevi - Konidala Sivashankara Vara Prasad (his original name) - has been involved in movies for the last 30 years, and was also doing some social and charitable work.

His statement on the website says "Movement for Change", "Join the movement to build up a better world through ethical and social service".

Keep watching this space for the latest updates and news related to Chiru parties Logo, symbol, party name and other details. I will put the same here once they are announced by the hero in his Tirupathi rally today. Apparently they are expecting 10 Lakh people to attend this huge rally.

Lots of TV news channels in the state - Maa TV, TV9 (www.tv9.net), Eenadu TV, ETV2, ZEE Telugu, Gemini TV etc are covering this event - Chiranjeevi party meeting LIVE.

Praja Rajyam to Support Statehood for Telangana

Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi declared on Friday that if the Centre came up with a proposal for creation of a separate Telangana State, his party would unconditionally support it.

Addressing an impressive gathering in this town, he recalled that at his first public meeting in Tirupati on August 26, he said he would abide by people’s wish on the issue of a separate Telangana.

“I remember that the Telangana movement started from this very place in 1969. I know how important it is to you,” he said.

Mr. Chiranjeevi said: “If you so wish, make sure that your voice is heard by the powers that be. The only way you can make your voice heard by the Centre is by electing the right people, those whom you trust will do everything they can to improve your lot. You can trust the PR because the party was born out of the people’s wish.”

Ever since he announced the second leg of his ‘Praja Ankitha Yatra’ to cover three Telangana districts of Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam, he had said that political parties were eager to hear what he had to say on the issue.

He asked people if they were backward, if the region lacked human and mineral resources and when they roared their response, he said, “Telangana is not backward. It has been pushed to backwardness.”

“Had the political parties shown a little interest in developing a backward region, your lives would have improved. Successive governments have taken you for a ride and used you politically.

Do not allow yourselves to be cheated any more,” he said to thunderous applause.

For the first time since he launched PR, Mr. Chiranjeevi launched a direct attack on the Congress government.

In an oblique reference to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, he reminded people that in alliance with a ‘regional party’, the ‘present government’ had come to power after promising Telangana. “Four years down the line, has anything like that happened? The only development was ‘more tears, weavers’ suicides, illiteracy, unemployment and more,” he said.

As the crowds screamed, ‘Jai Chiranjeevi’, the PR founder said ‘Jai Jagityala’ and ‘Jai Praja Rajyam’ before his convoy moved ahead towards Dharmapuri and Ramagundam.
Starting from Metpalli, he covered six Assembly constituencies.

Praja Rajyam Chief Chiranjeevi Works in Fields

The Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi got a few lessons in agriculture in the cotton fields of a remote village, Rupi Reddy Palle, in the Maoist-affected Regonda mandal on Monday. For the first time during his yatra in the district, Chiranjeevi got down from his vehicle and ventured into the cotton fields, surprising the women farmers working there. The women flocked around their matinee idol and began narrating their woes. Ms Panchagiri Radha complained that they were not getting a competitive price for their cotton. She also pointed to the irregular power supply.

Ms Vannala Rani told Chiranjeevi that they were losing money to spurious seeds and pesticides. Mr Chiranjeevi blamed their woes on the government. "The suicides among cotton farmers were really painful. Is it such a big problem to overcome," he asked.

Chiranjeevi trains guns on Andhra Pradesh CM

Amidst minor protests from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi today flayed Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy saying that he failed to get adequate support price to the farmers though he always claimed that he was ‘farmer-friendly.’

However, the Nava Telangana Party declared its support to the PRP and Chiranjeevi got a rousing reception at the borders of the Warangal district.

Addressing a series of meetings at Manakondur, Karimnagar town and other places, during his road show in the district, as part of the second leg of his Praja Ankita Yatra, he alleged that the ruling Congress failed miserably in coming to the rescue of the farmers.

The Sriram Sagar project (SRSP) is located in the district but people in villages have not been getting drinking water and farmers not getting water for irrigation. ‘‘The district could not utilise 30 TMC water due to the State Government’s failure in maintaining the project’s canals,’’ he said. He lamented that it was the farmer alone who could not decide the price of his produce while all others manufacturing different products could decide the prices of their products.

‘‘The Punjab Government is giving substantial support price to the farmers where our rulers pay meagre amounts,’’ he said.

Congress is in power at the Centre and in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra but the Chief Minister could not stop construction of Babhali and other projects in Maharastra, he said.
Chiranjeevi said that he didn’t had any intention to join politics till an year ago but was invited by people to serve them.

Likening the coming elections to an examination, he urged the people to pass his party with a distinction and assured first class life if voted to power.

The PRP leaders of Warangal organised cultural activities at Anantasagar, the entry point to the district. Women greeted him with Bonalu and danced Batukamma.

WARANGAL: Chiru’s yatra entered into Warangal district at 8:15 p.m. at Hasanparti mandal headquarters. He was given a warm welcome by the PRP leaders.

The TRS leaders tried to obstruct Chiranjeevi’s yatra at Hasanparti mandal headquarters demanding that he make his party’s stand clear on the contentious Telangana issue. Commotion prevailed for some time when the fans of Chiru and the TRS activists jostled with each other.

However, police intervened and sent the TRS men away. The TRS cadre tried to obstruct Chiranjeevi’s yatra at other places including Beemaram, University cross roads and Ambedkar centres.

The PRP president said that youth and women were the major strength to his party. He participated in roadshows till 10:00 p.m.

PRP leaders K Varda Reddy, Dr Lakshmi Prasad, Manda Ilaiah, Errabelli Pradeep Rao, B Sampath Kumar, Karate Prabhakar, Mandadi Ravinder Reddy and others accompanied him.

Praja Rajyam Demands White Paper on Economic Zones

Questioning the sincerity of the Congress Government, Praja Rajyam Party today demanded a white paper on the Special Economic zones taken up in the State.

PRP wanted the Government to disclose how much extent of land has been allotted to the companies.

The party also sought know how much land is required to establish a company and how many jobs each company will create.

Speaking to reporters here today, PRP leader Tammineni Sitaram said that not withstanding AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s directions that fertile lands should not be procured for SEZs, the State Government was acquiring agriculture lands.

People in the State were waiting for a third alternative and they had chosen the PRP, he said.

praja rajyam enrols students as voters

The Praja Rajyam (PR) will concentrate on enrolling college students as voters. The PR leader, Mr B. Ra-vindra Kumar, told newsmen here on Monday that nearly 34 lakh students did not have the right to vote in the state. In East Godavari alone the number was nearly three lakh, he added.

In an attempt to help students get enrolled as voters, the PR founder Chiranjeevi had set up a graduate society to help students get registered. He said that 17,500 members had joined this society whose only responsibility was to enrol students as voters.

The PR leader said that they had set a target of enrolling one lakh students as voters in East Godavari by the end of December. Mr Ravindra Kumar said that the issue was taken to the notice of the chief electoral officer in the state and added that they had submitted a representation to election authorities to extend the enrolment schedule as well as registration of students as voters, based on the confirmation issued by the college principal, instead of insisting on residential proof.

He said that the election authorities had responded positively to the proposals. He said that the PR is going to enrol 1.90 lakh aged and 2.85 lakh beggars as voters in the state.
